African Luxury Photographic Safaris

Come home with the photos of a lifetime.

“…few can sojourn long within the unspoilt wilderness of a game sanctuary, surrounded on all sides by its confiding animals, without absorbing its atmosphere; the Spirit of the Wild is quick to assert supremacy, and no man of any sensibility can resist her.”

- James Stevenson-Hamilton

Get an elevated perspective.

Namibia is off the beaten path as far as travel goes, but perspective changes everything. High above the NamibRand desert, views of Sossusvlei covered in low-lying mist gives way to a sunrise of dreams. An aerial helicopter safari across Namibia opens up a whole new experience for guests because the views of the desert and coastal dunes are like nowhere else on earth. This spectacular 5-day safari will take you from chasing Oryx across the dunes of Sossusvlei to the shipwrecks of the infamous Skeleton Coast.

Sossusvlei, NamibRand Desert, Namibia

An adventure designed with the photographer in mind.

Witness the best that Africa has to offer.

The sun will set in half an hour, but for now, you are fully in the moment, with the golden hour light enhancing every color of the leopard’s coat, each spot practically glowing and her eyes shimmering as she stares directly into the lens of your camera. Even as you click the shutter, you are mentally taking in the many features of this mysterious cat’s beauty.

Photographic safaris not only ensure you end the trip with stunning images that last a lifetime, but also provide you with the chance to slow down, to really sit with your subject and take in all of its marvelous detail – the tuft at the end of a giraffe’s tail, the long cartoon-like eyelashes of an eland, the furry texture of a waterbuck’s coat. There is no need to rush off to see the next thing. Instead, you can fully appreciate what is in front of you. Things that often go overlooked can be appreciated in all their detailed glory.

At Wildland Collective, we can arrange a photographic safari in almost any location, so it will depend on the types of photos and subject material you’re most interested in. For stunning desert landscapes, we can take you to Namibia or Northern Kenya. For the classic African savannah with big cat wildlife, Masai Mara is the ideal location. For marshes and floodplains, Botswana’s Okavango Delta is unparalleled. We also understand the practical needs of a photographic safari, including ensuring space for all your equipment on game drives, guides that understand how to position the vehicle for the perfect shot, and timing your excursions for the best possible lighting.

Camps & Lodges

Located on the Mara River on a private estate within a conservancy, this has been adapted into a luxury destination and provides a hopeful example of environmental restoration.

Located in Mara Naboisho Conservancy, this area has one of the highest concentrations of lions in the world, but is also home to cheetah, leopard, elephant, and more, along with 266 bird species.

If you want close encounters of the elephant kind, then this is a great spot to get intimate images and experiences. Set on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, this camp punches well above its weight and offers a variety of photographic opportunities.
