South Africa

Your point of arrival in South Africa will either be in Johannesburg, Durban, or Cape Town, three of the country’s largest cities. Johannesburg is the largest and one of the primary centers of business and commerce. Durban and Cape Town, both located directly on the water on opposite coasts (on the Indian and Atlantic Oceans respectively) are economic hubs and also picturesque vacation destinations in their own right.

South Africa is a country where you can find a little bit of everything. From the bustling, jacaranda-lined streets of Johannesburg to Kruger National Park’s exotic wildlife. You can go whale watching in Hermanus, where at certain times of year the gigantic creatures come within a few meters of the shore. You can journey to the southernmost tip of the continent and see where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet at Cape Point, with only ocean between yourself and Antarctica. The Drakensberg Mountains are the perfect location for hiking and exploring outside with its dramatic scenery keeping you company.

And when you want to relax, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are ready to welcome you to its hundreds of wineries. Drink a pinot noir while walking through the vast gardens at Babylon Storen. Overlook vineyards bordered by distant peaks at Stark Conde Winery while sipping on a cult-classic cabernet sauvignon wine. Rivaling even the finest in Southern Europe, this region of South Africa invites visitors to enjoy tastings of the best wine produced on the continent in an unforgettable setting.
