Borana Lodge - Laikipia, Kenya
Borana Lodge
One of our all-time favorite lodges and always our first recommendation.
When visiting Borana Lodge, you can be assured that, along with experiencing the best that a safari has to offer, you will also be investing in the protection of the Borana ecosystem and wildlife. All retained earnings from the commercial activities of Borana Conservancy go toward supporting conservation. This lodge is small and designed for the most comfortable stays where guests can feel the crisp mountain air and snuggle up next to the fireplace. Although designed with families in mind, this destination is also perfect for a romantic getaway. Enjoy meals made from food sourced from Kenya’s largest permaculture project, explore the conservancy to experience its wildlife, and visit the iconic rock that inspired pride rock in Disney’s Lion King.
